Bihar Staff Selection Commission conducted first graduate level mains examination (Sachiwalaya Sahayak Examination) on 27 January, 2013. Mains examination question paper and Answer key have been provided on Commission's website. Any error in question paper or in answer can be informed to BSSC till 31 January, 2013. After then no complain will be entertained. It shows that BSSC is serious in declaring the result as soon as possible. It can be expected before 20 February, 2013.
As far standard of questions are concerned, it was a mix bag. It was not on the pattern of preliminary examination. All sections were mixed. There were very few questions from math. Except 5 to 6 questions of word formation , all reasoning questions were not so tough. GK questions were not so lengthy as it was in the mains. In the Reasoning section unlike PT. examination, not too many questions were asked from arithmetic. It means GS and Science questions are going to decide the final merit. One can say that it was little easy.
Keeping all these factors in mind one can expect a cut off marks based on one's performance. Since the General Hindi paper was qualifying in nature, hence its marks will not be added in the merit list preparation. So merit list will be prepared on the marks scored in Second sitting's paper only. In the preliminary examination cut off for general candidate's was 342 (on the basis of first result). In the mains examination cut off will be certainly go higher. How much, it is very tough to say. But one can guess and say that it will be around 390-400 marks for general category. It may be wrong, but is only speculation. Now it is up to you, to debate on the cut off. However BSSC is not going to give you enough time in debating the result, because final result can be expected anytime after 15 February. Total number of seats are 3285.

Though the investigation by the Economic Offence Unit (E.O.U.) has not been completed as yet and Mr. Vishwanath Prasad Singh, learned Senior counsel appearing on behalf of EOU, has taken a plea that the Forensic Science Laboratory, Gandhi Nagar has not submitted its report due to want of release of fund to the tune of Rs.2 lacs by the State of Bihar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Bihar Staff Selection Commission, by filing a supplementary counter affidavit has sought to explain that the OMR of all the successful candidates were sought to be veritified in presence of the officials of EOU and therefore, a decision can be taken even without receipt of the report of the Forensic Science Laboratory, Gandhi Nagar. This Court will not like to say anything in this regard till it hears from the Investigating Officer of E.O.U., inasmuch as the job of investigation is within the domain of the Investigating

agency and it is for the Investigating agency to zero its conclusion as to whether any further material was/is still required to be collected against any other person not named in F.I.R. against whom charge sheet has not been filed and investigation is still pending. When such an observation has been made Mr. Vishwanath Prasad Singh, learned Senior counsel appearing on behalf of EOU, prays for and is allowed four weeks time to file response to the supplementary counter affidavit filed by the Commission. Put up this case again under the same heading at the top of the list on 14th January, 2015. Nothing said in this order, however, will come in the way of EOU to get the report of Forensic Science Laboratory, Gandhi Nagar and also zero its investigation after considering that report as well.

SA exam me bhi "Vikash" roll no.13530104 DOB 28.01.1978 Jo SA main exam me 559 rank Tha,24 Aug 2013 ke revise result ke baad 10 th rank aa gaya. Vikash ka marks 437 Tha,high court ke order ke 4(four) questions delete hone ke baad iska marks ghatne ke bajay 437 se 469 ho gaya. Yeh BSSC ka practice hai.kKyon ho raha hai???

12 13-02-2015 All these four Letters Patent Appeals have been admitted for final hearing. They all relate to the selection process undertaken by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission in respect to First Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination, 2010. The writ petitioners had approached the writ Court raising an issue that there were several questions in the objective test which had wrong answers or ambiguous answers which requires to be corrected to arrive at the correct merit list. In course of proceedings it appears that the Commission itself brought to the notice of the Court those four questions they had deleted pursuant to the recommendation of the expert body. Some of the petitioners contest that the decision to

delete one of the question (Question No. 111) was not correct. Ultimately, the learned Single Judge accepted for deletion as made by the Commission prior to publication of the merit list and further directed to four other questions also be deleted. At this stage, counsels point out that there would be more than 20 questions which require to be scrutinized. They submit that every deletion of a question adversely affects the candidate who had rightly answered it by depriving them of their four marks for the correct answers. It also confers advantage of those candidates who had wrongly answered those questions because of negative marking by deletion of a wrongly answered question. This negative mark would not approve. Therefore, the Court and the Authorities must be very circumspect when considering deletion of question. Though there are older appeals pending, this appeal affects a large number of persons, some of whom have already been appointed and working, some one who was initially selected but failed to be selected upon revision of the merit list, some who could have been selected but have not been selected. Therefore, we are of the view that these matters should be taken up for final disposal at the earliest. All the counsels are directed to exchange against
