Apart from these questions there might be few more questions which may  be claimed to be wrong by a few students. Even some students might contradict that few above mentioned question's answers are wrong. Let us wait what honourable Patna High Court directs to Bihar stafff selection commission. But it is sure some failed students might get a chance to appear in mains examination, which date is yet to be decided.

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission releases amended model answer sheet

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) released the final amended model answer sheet of the state services exam conducted on May 6 last.

The Commission has received about 500 claims and objections over the earlier released model answer sheets. CGPSC is going to fight caveat in Bilaspur High Court regarding the results.

The Secretary of CGPSC, SN Rathode informed that the model answer sheet was released on May 7 last and Commission had received about 500 corrections and clarification over various questions.

After examining the results nine questions were cancelled and answers of 17 questions were amended. Opinion of three subject specialists was sought over each question to avoid any kind of mistake.

Rahtode further said that going by questions appeared in Set A of the question paper question number 24, 26, 29, 37,48, 69, 99, 109 and 120 were cancelled. About 1.76 lakh aspirants had applied for the CGPSC and 1.40 lakh had appeared.

Informing about the interview of the candidate selected in mains exam of CGPSC held in 2008, the officer said that strict arrangements have been made to ensure total transparency in the interview.

He informed that the candidates would not be informed about the board who will be taking their interview. It will be decided on lottery basis on interview spot. Similarly, the board members will be selected thorough lottery system that they will be part of which boar

NEW AND BOLD INITIATIVE BY BIHAR PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

Taking lessons from past mistakes and court cases Bihar Public Service Commission has came out with new good initiative. BPSC had conducted Assistant Prosecution Officer preliminary examination on 21 June 2012.  And on June 27th it published Key answers so that students can submit their reservations on answer before declaration of result. Generally BPSC used to publish key answers of preliminary examinations only after declaration of prelims result. Key answers after result always have some mistakes. Consequently after court cases and expert panels reports BPSC had revised many results which includes 46th civil services, 48 to 52nd civil services, 27th Bihar Judicial services and 53-55 civil services exams. In the biggest embarrassment  BPSC had to lowered its cut off by 25 marks in 27th Judicial preliminary examination. Seeing the past experiences BPSC's new initiative is a very bold step. It should be welcomed and students should hope that in 53rd to 55th mains examination's BPSC will do something so that no students get extra benefit due to their respective optional papers.

RPSC RAS Prelims physics paper exam 2012 cancelled

RAS Pre physics paper exam 2012 has been cancelled by the RPSC (Rajsthan Public Service Commission). According to the RPSC sources this examination will be conducted on August 12, 2012 from 10 to12 am in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

The exam is cancelled on the basis of binding error in the question booklets. In the re-examination only those students will be allowed to sit who had written the previously held RAS pre exam for physics on 14th June 2012.

IS SCALLING NEEDED TO SECURE LEVEL PLAYING FIELD?

In a recent Judgment Patna High court criticized BPSC that its selection process is not up to mark. Actually some students had moved court against 48^th to 52^nd civil services final result. In that examination a huge disparities were found in marking pattern in optional subjects. For example, students who opted philosophy, anthropology, Sanskrit literature, Persian were awarded an average 140 to 150 marks in each paper, and rest optional subjects were awarded average marks. Consequently, maximum final selected students were from those mentioned subjects. Going through all these process, high court directed BPSC to follow moderation in forthcoming examinations. Court also directed that if possible; follow it in 53^rd to 55^th combined examination. However, so far BPSC has not cleared whether it is going to follow moderation or not. So everybody is in dilemma. Almost every public service commission, which includes union public service commission, follow moderation in mains examination. So logically BPSC should also follow moderation process. But it seems BPSC doesn’t want to get trapped in court cases. So keep finger crossed.

To settle the issue, Bihar Staff Selection Commission might declare extra result on the basis of new model answers. However it is still a speculation. But It is quite clear that there are few wrong answers in model answer of Bihar Staff Selection Commission. It seems without correcting it, mains examination is not possible. However it is not clear how many wrong answers are there. Everybody is claiming according to their aspirations. Yet it all depends on Patna high court. Right now  Bihar Staff Selection Commission is not disclosing anything. They are neither declning nor accepting about extra or revised result. 3285 seats are to be filled from first combined level graduate examination.A civil writ petition number CWJC 10268/2012 is still pending in Justice Prakash Chandra Verma's bench.

Results of limited competitive exam for IPS declared

New Delhi: The results of written part of Indian Police Service Limited Competitive (IPSLC) examination 2012, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission has been declared.

The results are available in the UPSC website (www.Upsc.Gov.In) and the Ministry of Home Affairs will intimate the successful candidates about the date, time and venue of the medical examination to be conducted by them, an official release said.

The candidature of all the candidates whose roll numbers are shown in the list is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects, including clearance from courts and Central Administrative Tribunals.

The tentative date for personality test is from August 8. The personality test schedule will also be uploaded on the UPSC Website.

The move to recruit IPS officers through limited competitive examination was taken by Home Minister P Chidambaram after finding a large number of vacancies in various cadres of IPS which has been hampering functioning of police forces.
